Art Installation
Steel frame work, salvaged bricks & concrete breeze blocks, metal grid barrier, adhesive, paint.

EX/INTERIOR challenges conventional notions of comfort and security by embedding familiar domestic forms within a landscape of harsh, unforgiving materials. Industrial elements such as bricks, concrete, and metal reinforcement mesh, intrude upon the interior setting, creating an abrasive collision that speaks to fragmented and distorted living conditions.
Familiar objects are obscured, their functions interrupted, transforming the home from a space of sanctuary into one of disruption. This tension is heightened through destructive construction methods and a broken brutalist aesthetic, evoking a visceral sense of displacement and instability within the domestic realm.
